BioTravel Taxi and Minibus Company Win Newquay Airport Taxi Contract!On the 14th May 2008 BioTravel took over the contract to provide all of the taxis for Newquay Airport. Our extremely smart black Volkswagens and Bio-Shuttles, all newly logo'd, with our very professionally uniformed drivers sporting BioTravel umbrellas in case of rain, looked increadible. BioTravel have also updated the way that you hire a taxi from Newquay Airport. Gone are the days of standing on an empty rank in the rain, not knowing when the next taxi is due. Instead of this, we have a desk in the new arrivals hall where you can book your taxi. Our drivers will be waiting for you and will walk you out to a BioTravel vehicle whilst carrying your bags and sheltering you under an umbrella. In the rare case that we do not have any taxis waiting, we have a seated area were you can relax. In very rare case that you have to wait longer than 5 minutes for a taxi, we will offer you a tea or a coffee and a newspaper to help pass the time. Our Taxi Share scheme has been extended and we now offer a Bio-Shuttle running from Newquay Airport, to your hotel during peak times. The cost is only £3.90 per person to Newquay centre, but does change if you are going to the outskirts of town. If you want to ride the Bio-Shuttle simply come to the desk in arrivals and state that you would like to taxi share. In the case that there are less than six wanting to share, it becomes greener to organise one of our people carriers to take you into town. If this is the case, the cost of the taxi a shared between you all, which works out roughly the same as the Bio-Shuttle.
